ZCE prices mostly down
Today’s No. 1 cotton futures on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE) settled mixed. The most active January contract lost 15 yuan to settle at 19,745 yuan per tonne, and the May contract dropped 140 yuan to finish at 18,570 yuan.
Total volume was 37,772, contracts (5 tonnes each), and open interest was decreased by 196 contracts to 118,330.
The certified stock was unchanged at 222 lots (1 lot is equal to 185 ±5 bales).
At the close of business, the top 20 brokers were holding 43,579 long positions (+955) and 41,015 short positions (-1,542).
