ICE cotton mixed, trading on either side of unchanged
May futures were trading on slight losses at 1525 GMT while forward months were more measured in slight moves on either side of yesterday’s settlements.
July cotton had moved back around 86.00 cents after trading as low as 85.64 cents/lb earlier in the session. New crop December futures were holding onto slight gains and traded in the middle of an 84-point range.
Total open interest decreased to 189,975 (-5,172) yesterday, following more spread trading, a recorded 3,130 exchange for swaps trades and 94 exchange for physicals.
