Egypt: export registrations

The latest data from Alcotexa reveal that export registrations during the week ended October 5 amounted to 160 tonnes, comprising 110 of Giza 94 and 50 of the ELS Giza 96 variety. The total for the 2024/25 marketing year rose to 361 tonnes.

Final figures for the previous marketing year show that 52,092 tonnes were shipped between September 1, 2023, and September 30, 2024. Of that volume, over 70 percent was destined for India. In a distant second place came Pakistan (11 percent), followed by China (eight percent).
