Côte d’Ivoire: shipments remain slow
Raw cotton export shipments in March continued to lag behind the customary pace for the early months of the year. Last month’s shipments amounted to 10,570 tonnes, down from 13,835 in February, and were less than a third of those recorded in the same month of 2022.
March shipments were destined mainly for Pakistan (6,418 tonnes), Bangladesh (2,927) and Vietnam (1,125).
At 37,345 tonnes, aggregate exports for the first quarter of this year amount to just 45 percent of those a year earlier.
