Pakistan: local prices unchanged
Business in the local cotton market is still confined to a small number of mills with prompt requirements. Many recent sales have been concluded on credit terms as spinners struggle for cash flow.
Offers for low grades are placed at Rs. 19,000/20,500 per maund, ex gin (roughly 86.40 US cents per lb), while better grades are quoted at around Rs. 20,500/22,500 (94.05 cents per lb).
