The China Cotton Index (basis Type 3128B) rose by 48 yuan to 16,263 yuan per tonne, equivalent to 102.8 US cents per lb. Type 2227B advanced by 24 yuan to 15,015 yuan per tonne (94.9 cents), and Type 2129B increased by 34 yuan to 16,565 yuan per tonne (104.7 cents).
