South Korea: January raw cotton imports

In January, South Korea imported 7,917 tonnes of raw cotton, less than the volume shipped in December (8,877) and that recorded during the same month last year (11,324). Last month’s cotton arrivals were composed almost entirely of Brazilian (4,671 tonnes) and US lint (2,840), with smaller quantities from Australia (281) and Turkey (106).

During the August/January period, imports were 56,833 tonnes, compared with 48,942 in the corresponding months of last season.
