US export sales


During the week ended January 7, this season’s upland export sales registrations rose by 326,000 running bales (net of cancellations totalling 33,000). The main increases recorded were for China (151,200 running bales) Pakistan (56,600), Turkey (39,000), Bangladesh (24,300) and Vietnam (23,800).

Net sales of Pima were the highest of the season so far at 35,900 running bales, destined principally for India (20,700), Vietnam (8,800) and China (7,000). Upland shipments during the period totalled 274,600 running bales and those of Pima 10,300.

For the 2021/2022 season, net sales of 50,300 running bales were for Malaysia (22,000), Guatemala (13,200), Bangladesh (8,800) and Peru (6,300).
