China: State Reserve auction
The quantity offered for sale today was 28,186 tonnes, comprising 14,140 in the first (morning) session, and 14,046 in the second (afternoon) session. Of the catalogue, Xinjiang cotton accounted for 11,879 tonnes, and the remainder was from other provinces (16,307 tonnes).
In today’s morning session, all lots on offer found buyers. The highest price paid was 16,150 yuan per tonne (for cotton from the 2013/14 season), down 60 from the previous day.
