Egypt extends shipment deadline to end September
As anticipated, Alcotexa, the exporters’ association, has extended the deadline for shipments against the 2016/16 season’s export commitments to the end of September, subject to two conditions, firstly that the exporter presents shipping documents and, secondly, that approval is secured from the government commissioner in Alcotexa.
As at September 17, as previously reported, 30,558.90 tonnes (including 1.975.50 tonnes against which advance payment has been made) were shown as ‘shipped’ against total commitments for the 2015/16 season of 33,298.20 tonnes.
