China ZCE prices decrease
Cotton futures on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE) settled with losses across the board. January fell by 105 yuan and May by 160 yuan, thus widening the discount for the later month to 105 yuan. September is now at a discount to May of 25 yuan.
Turnover was 345,644 contracts (of 5 tonnes each), 216,014 more than yesterday. Open interest increased by 17,922 contracts to 497,984. At the close of business, the top 20 brokers were holding 174,919 long positions (-1,133) and 172,793 short positions (+4,842).
The certified stock fell by 41 lots to 88.
