ZCE nearby prices higher
No.1 cotton futures on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE) settled mixed, with the first four contracts higher. The nearby May contract gained 245 yuan to settle at 21,565 yuan per tonne, and the most active September contract was increased by 35 yuan to finish 20,140 yuan per tonne.
Total volume was 58,908 contracts (5 tonnes each), and open interest decreased by 12,526 to 168,878 contracts.
The certified stock was 157 lots (1 lot is equal to 185 ±5 bales).
At the close of business, the top 20 brokers were holding 59,825 long positions (- 6,838) and 61,919 short positions (- 1,382).
